The production process of the sofa

1.The wood frame

(1)Dry the wood

Because wood contains moisture, the moisture content of wood is controlled within 12% by drying, which can greatly reduce the deformation rate of wood. Not easy to deform, rot and moth.

(2)Cutting

Cut out the back backrest, armrest and other parts according to the sample drawing. This is followed by sanding, wind shearing, trimming and other processes for the wood.

(3)Tenon-opening

Reinforcement adopts the tenon-tenon connection method to tightly combine the various parts of the sofa frame. The mortise and tenon craft has been passed down in China for thousands of years, and if you have an old set of furniture at home, it is definitely spliced using the mortise and tenon process. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be so strong. In addition, in order to reinforce the frame, each joint of the frame is positioned using a precisely cut wooden tripod, and after joining with gun nails or screws, it must also be coated with white glue.

(Reinforcement) There are some small details that need to be paid attention to here, and the interface should be stitched accurately.

2.The priming

Mainly to add springs and bandages to the sofa. Put rubber bands on the back of the sofa! Because the bearing force of the back frame is not as large as that of the seat frame, it is enough to use rubber straps. There are also so-called black belts, which are made from discarded tires. The spring generally uses a serpentine spring (also called an S-shaped spring) to increase the bearing force of the sofa, and then use a special spring clip to fix it to reduce noise. The spring installation must be firm, and there can be no change when pressing hard. The quantity depends on the specific need.

3.Cloth

The cushion area is covered with a familiar breathable mesh cloth, which can effectively prevent moisture and breathe, and increase the life of the sofa.

4.Sofa padding

The filling inside the sofa includes sponge, down. The types of sponges are mainly high, medium and low three kinds of different density sponges. The sponge inside the sofa will be related to the sitting feeling of the sofa. The quality of the padded sponge will also affect the service life of the sofa.

(1) Cut out different shapes of sponges according to the shape of the sofa.

(2) Wrap the sponge around the outside of the sofa frame.

5.Jacket cut and sew

The sofa you see, each side is a board, called a leather board, the leather board is placed on the cowhide to draw, pay attention to avoid unqualified leather. Start shearing later. You can also use a blade to scratch, of course, if it is cloth, you can use electric scissors, and you can cut multiple layers at a time. After cutting the leather, the sofa cushion, armrests, backrests, and sorting are packed so that the next “sewing” can be produced smoothly and efficiently. Sewing, flat car, the cut leather, piece by piece, sewing this process is very important, related to the appearance of a set of sofa craftsmanship quality.

6.Pressed open line

Single-needle crimping line, single line and double line need to be pressed to the margin of 5 mm, the line is symmetrical left and right, straight and clear, and the direction is regular and uniform.

Crimping. Double needle turning crimping thread, the fabric is stacked at the junction of the flat car, and the double needle car will stack the phase out and stitch firmly. The same is true of the entire coat making process for fabric sofas. However, cutting cloth will be easier than cutting skin. But it’s all the same for skilled workers.

7.Unique pull-button technology 

Pull-button sofa is very strict for manual requirements, if you do not do it well by hand, it looks like there is no grade, and the overall placement effect will be far from the same. The position of the stitches is also very noteworthy, and this part will make the pull-button seat sofa more durable. Pulling buckles generally require teachers with more than 20 years of experience to have that level. The requirements of factory for masters are also very high.
